Reconnecting: a poem.

Perhaps I'm reconnecting,

Perhaps again I'm not.

Pretendians with no real place

have left me here to rot.

Scooped and spread across the Nations

Always searching, only lost

We run and run and run again

With nowhere to belong

Unanswered everything.

From Emails,

questions,

and connections

With nowhere left to go

Only truly longing

...if only to be loved.

Won't you see us?

Pull us toward you?

Heal us with our ceremonies

Breathe new life into these old bones

Through music, dance, and love.

If existence is resistance

Then why are we in limbo?

And which way must we go?

Caught in the middle

Between two sides

Who've left us here just to drown.
